If you drive just slightly over an hour, you can find yourself in Ocean City, New Jersey for the day.

With the warmer weather coming, heading to the beach sounds like a great way to spend the day. Ocean City has over 8 miles of beaches for you to enjoy along with the world-famous boardwalk. You could spend the whole day at the beach and/or boardwalk and never be bored.

If you’d like to get out on the water, you can go kiteboarding or windsurfing, or even rent a boat or jet ski. Kayaks, paddle boats, stand-up paddleboards, and sailboats are also available to rent if that’s where your interests lie.

If you want to stay on land, bikes are available to rent and you can find several paths to explore. You could also go golfing at the 12-hole municipal course located in Ocean City.

And don’t forget about the food. Seafood, ice cream, and other Jersey Shore treats will be sure to tempt you!

Hershey, PA

If you drive just about two hours, you will arrive in Hershey, Pennsylvania – the land of all things chocolate!

With lots of family-friendly attractions, Hershey is a great place to bring kids. You can head to Hersheypark where you can spend the entire day riding roller coasters, and all of the other cool rides this amusement park has to offer. In the heat of summer, they also have a great waterpark where you can cool down.

Hershey’s also offers a free chocolate-making tour for those who want to learn how the cocoa beans become the world-famous Hershey’s chocolate bars.

If chocolate is not your thing, Hershey is home to lots of great shopping and several breweries, along with a few museums and a great golf course.

Dover, DE

All you need is 90 minutes to get yourself to Dover, Delaware for a day of exploring.

Each year in June, Dover hosts the Firefly Music Festival. A day-pass to this festival could have you seeing Panic! At The Disco, Travis Scott, Death Cab For Cutie, Post Malone and lots of other great artists this year.

If you’re not heading to Dover for a specific event, think about checking out the historical attractions here. You can visit The Green, Woodburn, the John Dickinson Plantation, the Old State House and much more.

If you love wineries and breweries, there are lots of them to explore here. Find a designated driver and spend the day visiting your favorites.

Spring is a great time to jump in your car and head out for a day trip. Maybe you can check out one of these three places, or pick a new place to explore. Wherever you go, you’re bound to enjoy the new adventure!
