 In Blog

There’s a host of activities that will be taking place in and around Pennsauken this fall. Whether you’re looking to learn something new or you want to enjoy something with the entire family, you are sure to find something that everyone will enjoy. And because our neighborhood and surrounding cities are a mecca for entertainment on the East Coast, you won’t have to drive very far to find plenty of fun activities.

Here’s a look at the upcoming local events this fall in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

CornfieldPennsauken Harvest Festival

One of the true highlights in town every fall is the Pennsauken Harvest Festival. This year the festival will take place at the Pennsauken Communication Recreation Complex at Bethel and Westfield avenues. Originally the event was planned for October 10th, but this has been moved to October 12th due to weather considerations. Make sure that you check in before the event, to ensure that weather hasn’t affected anything else.

When you come to the Pennsauken Harvest Festival, the entire family is sure to find plenty of fun. There will be local live bands playing music, as well as dancers performing as well. There will also be games, crafts and arts, and plenty of food. What’s truly great about the Pennsauken Harvest Festival is that it offers a variety of different cultures coming together as one, as we show off how diverse our neighborhood is.

Come with the entire family, and everyone will have a day that they won’t forget. From basketball games and face painting, to scarecrow making and inflatable bounce houses, get ready for a day of excitement at the Pennsauken Harvest Festival.

Yoga At The Library

There has been a great showing at the yoga classes being held at the Pennsauken Library, and classes will continue through the fall. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, come by to Zen out with other yogis. The class is held every Thursday from 7am – 8pm. In the event of inclement weather, this schedule will change accordingly.

Super Storytelling

Also this fall at the library, come by on Mondays for Super Storytelling at 11am. This is great for the little ones who are looking for something fun and educational to do in town. Each week a new story will be told, and there are activities to take place in as well. The Super Storytelling at the Pennsauken Library is a great chance for your kids to interact with other children, while also learning about classic childhood stories.

Coach Bag Bingo

Combine your love for fashion and bingo at the Coach Bag Bingo on October 23rd. The evening event will be held from 7pm-10pm, and proceeds go toward benefiting The Breathing Room Foundation for Families Affected by Cancer. Get your tickets beforehand for just $30 (or $35 at the door) and dedicate an evening in fall to helping millions of people across the world who are affected by cancer. The event is held in nearby Abington, which is well worth the short drive.

There’s plenty to do this fall in Pennsauken. With fun for the entire family and plenty of opportunities to give back, make the most of the rest of your year.
